I reformatted! And I couldn't be happier. So many things work like they are supposed to now! And I found a work around for my printer software since the fix will probably never be available. Woohoo! This task has been on my to-do list since last winter...

If you want, I could do it when you show me that you've done all the backing up you need to and you have all the discs to get your system back to factory default. Only then do I even attempt my own reformat. Actually, I just wipe everything and put a fresh copy of XP on, as that is the OS I was able to get for $5 while in school. My system originally came with Windows ME, which is just a bad idea, so going back to factory default just makes things worse for me....
